The ‘Be Rewarded’ scheme is an initiative to introduce school pupils aged 11 to 18, via a discount card, to city centre shopping as they are the future of Belfast. The discount card is for participating shops, fast food outlets, cinemas etc – similar to a Student Card at university.

As part of Belfast City Centre Management’s Safer City work, the discount card will be revoked from pupils involved in shoplifting and offending behaviour.

It is proposed that 90 schools and colleges, with 67,000 pupils from the BELB South of NEELB and SEELB areas, will be involved. Belfast businesses, Victoria Square and Castlecourt will also be participating.

The shops want to reward good behaviour and fully support this scheme. They also want to secure your business for years to come. You never know, you might bring your parents with you.
